Unknown device ACPI\VEN_HPIC&DEV_0003
I bought this laptop yesterday and installed all drivers from hp page.
But, there is still one uknown device:
What can that be? What should I install?
please follow this document below it should help fix the issue.

Can you provide an image of the device manager that also shows the device properties window open with the Details tab selected and the Hardware IDS selected? That will make the device information viewable.
See the following image for an example.

This device is 0003 not 0004.
I’ve tried to install both files from your sugested document.
First is unsupported and the other one didn’t change anything.
Sorry, on my other computer I can’t see this picture.

Let’s try forcing Windows to provide a driver.
In the Device Manager, uninstall the device and then right click anything and select scan for hardware changes.
An alternative is to visit the Windows update website to see if it autodetects an updated driver for your device,

In the device properties there should be a button that allows you to install a driver and have the OS search online for the driver.
Was there an update or something software that you installed that occurred prior to this showing up as an issue?
Have you created the USB recovery flash drive for your notebook yet? If not, please do that.
It may get to the point of having to perform a factory image recovery to bring your notebook to a base state where there are no unknown devices present.

I lost my windows recovery disk and reinstalled windows 8.1 but i have one driver missing

As for my recovery Discs, well I haven’t got the chance to creat at all. So if you can help me finding a way to creat and save a set it will be great.

I have followed the steps in the link attached but what I am receivign is the follows:
3- writting recovery manager and pressing enter
YOUR LAPTOP IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET CHECK YORU INTERNET AND THEN TRY AGAIN.
I have done so and only received a kind of Q&A.
I do nto know what is going on but what I need is a way to make receovery disks.
Can you let me know the full version of the operating system that the notebook originally shipped with?

It was shipped with Windows 8 64bit.
But due to system errors and virus caught, i had to format the laptop and install windows 8.1 pro 64 bit.
At this point, you really have 2 main options.
1. Order a replacement set of Recovery Media Order HP Recovery Discs.

Windows 10 driver for: acpi ven_asd&dev_0001
I recently upgraded my HP 15-f085wm laptop to windows 10.
I have an Unknown device: acpi ven_asd&dev_0001 and I’m unable to locate drivers for it.
Can someone point me in the right direction please?
I believe you need this one. For W8.1 & W10.
The other files posted were for W7 & W8.
Follow the same instructions to install it that were previously posted.

Please download the following file, unzip it
Go to Device Manager, select the missing device needing driver above.
Click on the driver tab.
Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver
Select the above driver folder (after unzipped).

The other two forum members understood what you needed.
I’m sure they just didn’t know there was a different driver required for W8.1/W10.
If you look inside the setup.inf files of both drivers, you can hardly tell the difference in why the ones they posted didn’t work.
At least I couldn’t.
BTW, I am pretty sure that they found those drivers from one of my other replies requesting drivers for that ID from forum members that were also missing that device driver.
